Trump will travel to Israel only after he is elected president
US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who has now come under fire from the US and abroad because of his call not to let not a single Muslim in America, announced his intention to postpone his visit to Israel.
He was going to come to the Jewish state of December 28, meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and climb the Temple Mount.
However, today, December 10, he wrote on his Twitter page: “I have decided to cancel my visit to Israel and schedule a meeting with Netanyahu after I become President of America.”
Netanyahu said yesterday that he did not agree with Trump’s harsh statements about Muslims, but he was still going to meet him during his visit to Israel.
He made this statement in response to the letter from 37 to the Knesset deputies, who urged him not to meet with Trump because of his anti-Muslim statements.
Previously, Forum wrote about harsh criticism of Trump for anti-Muslim statements. For example, the mayor of St. Petersburg, Florida, Rick Chrisman banned Donald Trump's entry after that.
Another Republican presidential candidate, Jeb Bush, called Donald Trump a troublemaker.
Democratic presidential candidate, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on her Twitter account called Trump's proposal "reprehensible, biased and sowing strife."
White House Press Secretary Josh Ernest считаетthat what Trump said about Muslims deprives him of the right to hold the presidency of the United States.
