The dirtiest items at the airport and plane
Surprisingly, the folding table in the plane may be the dirtiest object that you will encounter during the trip.
Recently, Travel Math has identified the top 5 of the dirtiest items by taking 26 samples at five airports and on flights of two US airlines, whose names have not been disclosed.
As it turned out, samples taken from folding tables, ranked first in terms of pollution. 2 100 colony-forming units of pathogens per square inch (about 6,5 sq. Cm) inhabit the tables.
The drinking water fountain button at the airport ranked second - 1 240 units.
The third in the list were the sources of ventilation over the passenger seats in airplanes - 285 units.
Fourth position - behind the flush button in the toilets.
Finally, close the top 5 safety belt on the seats - 230 units.
Surprisingly, the door handles, including the toilet rooms, turned out to be much cleaner - only 70 units of harmful bacteria per square inch.
