The study showed that traffic jams cost American motorists about $ 305 billion in 2017 a year, an average of $ 1,445 per driver. This includes direct costs, such as the cost of time spent on traffic, the cost of additional fuel burned, plus indirect costs, including higher costs of delivering goods and services that companies impose on customers.
