Top 10 most dangerous US national parks
The serene landscapes of US national parks, abundant mountain vistas, pristine beaches and lush forests attract hundreds of millions of Americans. But visiting these parks comes with some deadly risks, reports New York Post.
Recently, an outerwear brand KÜHL Based on different criteria, a list of the 10 deadliest national parks was left.
The company said it looked at data related to total deaths, missing people, search and rescue operations, proximity to hospitals and hazard warnings to compile the list.
KÜHL said some of the factors that caused national parks to rank higher on the list were due to higher numbers of deaths, search and rescue operations or unavailability of hospitals.

The company said the average chance of a fatal accident in the national park is about 1 in 664 people. This is lower than walking on the street, since the chances of dying in a traffic accident are 099 in 1.
1.Grand Canyon National Park
Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona ranked first, with 1 in 503 people at risk of dying there. According to KÜHL, 000 people have died at the Grand Canyon since 2007.
2. Wrangell-St. Elias National Park
Chance of dying in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park is 1 in 126 people, as the national park is home to some of the largest volcanoes and glaciers.
3.Isle Royale National Park
Isle Royale National Park in Michigan is a remote group of islands. It was ranked third on the KÜHL list of the most unsafe national parks. The company said there was a 1 in 163 chance of dying there.
4. North Cascades National Park
North Cascades National Park in Washington State is America's fourth most dangerous national park for hiking and camping. Despite its pristine beauty, densely forested valleys, waterfalls and glaciers, the chance of dying here is 1 in 18.
5.Dry Tortugas National Park
In fifth place was Dry Tortugas National Park in Florida. The national park offers crystal clear blue water and rich ocean life, but precautions must be taken when visiting. The chance of dying there is 1 in 184.
6.Big Bend National Park
KÜHL ranked Big Bend National Park in Texas in sixth place. The chance of death is 1 in 218 people.
7.Denali National Park
Another Alaskan national park, Denali National Park, ranks seventh on the list. KÜHL says the chance of death is 1 in 119 people.
8. Kings Canyon National Park
Kings Canyon National Park in California ranks eighth on the list. According to KÜHL, 1 in 220 people may die in the park.
9. Guadalupe Mountains National Park
Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas is in ninth place. The national park contains the world's most extensive fossil reef and forests. According to KÜHL, the chance of death in the national park is 1 in 514 people.

10. Mount Rainier National Park
Mount Rainier National Park in Washington state was last on the list, coming in tenth place. The mountain offers stunning views of the surrounding area, but the chance of death in the national park is 1 in 317.
