The court blocked the decision of trump about young migrants
A US judge has blocked President Donald Trump's administration from ending a program that protects from deportation children brought to the US illegally by their parents, writes "Voice of America«.
In September, Trump отмениР» The Deferred Action Program for Children Arriving in the USA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals - DACA).
Federal District Judge William Eslap from San Francisco on Tuesday ruled that the program should remain in force until the litigation over Trump’s decision is over.
The judge’s ruling came at a time when Trump and congressional leaders are discussing widespread immigration reform.
Several states, organizations and individuals have filed lawsuits to protect program participants, also called “Dreamers.”
Since the launch of President Barack Obama in 2012, the program has protected approximately 800 thousands of young people from deportation. It applies to children who were brought into the country illegally. They can attend school and, after graduation, apply to the federal government for a 2-year work permit to protect them from deportation.
The Obama administration prioritized the deportation of immigrants who were deemed dangerous to society or found guilty of committing a serious crime, or endangering national security, or those who recently illegally crossed the border.
