Court in Russia sentenced Ukrainian to 16 years in prison: he allegedly collected secret data

The court materials say that the person involved in the case, whose name was not disclosed, from January 2020 until his arrest in August 2021, collected data constituting state secrets in Tula in order to transfer them to a foreign state.

According to the Russian FSB, the Ukrainian carried out the tasks of the Ukrainian intelligence services, collected information about promising developments in the field of small arms and data that constitute a state secret. To do this, according to the Russian intelligence service, the man was going to recruit “employees of Russian defense enterprises from secret carriers.” The FSB said that they detained a Ukrainian red-handed.
