The Manhattan Court allowed an analysis of the remains of the stock trader of Cantor Fitzgerald from Wall Street, Michael Morgan Taylor, who died during the September 11 attack, writes New York Post.

This decision was made by the court in response to a lawsuit from 24-year-old resident of Houston, Texas, Austin Rutherford Colby, who could receive an inheritance of $ 1 million, if DNA proves that the deceased trader was his biological father.

Colby argues that Taylor had a relationship with his mother, an African-American Gwendolyn Phillips. The woman says that Taylor knew about his son, but did not recognize paternity, as he was ashamed that the child was of mixed race.

Colby's birth certificate contains the name Taylor.

Taylor's sister, Mary Kay Crenshaw, believes that the DNA test will be “yet another defilement” of her brother’s remains and “will stir her own emotional wounds.”

Crenshaw believes Colby and Phillips were waiting for Taylor's death to sue for paternity. She believes that this is an attempt to "extort money from the family."

If the DNA is confirmed, then Colby will have to fulfill another condition before claiming an inheritance. He will have to prove that Taylor "openly recognized him as his child" during his lifetime.
