Shooting in the parking lot at a school in Houston, there are victims

A student at Lamar High School was shot dead on Tuesday, when he was walking near an educational institution alongside another high school student. It all happened around 12: 15 of the day in the parking lot near the school.

Houston police reported that an 18-year-old young man was walking alongside a high school student, both of whom were studying at this school. At some point, a masked man approached them and started shooting at the guy, writes Click2Houston. After the victim fell to the ground, the man approached and fired several more times.

After that, the assailant got into the car, where there were two more people, and fled the scene. According to police, the car was described as a black Subaru with a plastic bag that covers the rear passenger window.

A construction worker who witnessed the shooting said that one of his colleagues ran up to the victim and tried to reanimate it until the rescue staff arrived. High school student died in hospital. It is known that the girl who was with him was injured.

The investigators reported that, in their opinion, the young man was the intentional target of the assailant, and the shooting could be linked to gangs. After the incident, the school was closed and extracurricular activities were canceled. Post-school classes were also canceled at Yates High School, where the deceased had previously studied.
