The terrible flood in Russia: five dead. Photo and video
In the Irkutsk region of Russia due to flooding declared an emergency. The number of flood victims in the region is at least five people, local authorities reported, writes Russian service BBC.

The water level in the rivers of the Irkutsk region in the coming days will rise due to heavy rain in the mountains of the Eastern Sayan, the Emergencies Ministry said.
Thousands of residents were left without electricity, some complained of interruptions in communication.
On the night of June 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Irkutsk on a special flight from Japan. He held an urgent meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other services for the organization of assistance to victims.
According to RIA Novosti, the Irkutsk region received 662 million rubles (about 10,5 million dollars) for one-time financial assistance to victims of the flood. In addition, Putin instructed the head of the Irkutsk region to take control of payments to flood victims.

The damage from the disaster for regional roads is estimated at 800 million rubles (about 12,6 million dollars), said regional governor Sergei Levchenko. According to him, 17 sections of federal roads and 13 bridges in Nizhneudinsk, Tulun and Taishet are flooded.
