'Strange accident': a girl died on her birthday after falling from a bicycle
A Kentucky girl passed away on her ninth birthday. The tragedy occurred last week as a result of a “strange accident” when she rode a bicycle.

When the girl fell, the wheel of a bicycle brake injured her neck, cutting the artery. LaRue County Sheriff Russell McCoy said the girl’s mother, Tiffany Fisher, found her and carried the body about 200 feet (60 meters) back to their home, but the child never recovered.

They lived with their parents, grandmother, grandfather, great-grandmother and four brothers and sisters. Charlie was described at school as "a charming, caring student who was loved by teachers and peers."
