Set up a tent: to hear Trump in Florida, people take a queue for two days
On the morning of June 17, Donald Trump supporters had already begun to line up near the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, to wait for the official launch of the presidential campaign. People began to gather more than 40 hours before the event, which will take place on the evening of June 18.
Local media compared this scene with the premiere of Star Wars or the launch of a new iPhone and reported that Trump's first supporters began to camp outside the Center already at 2: 30 Monday night, 17 June, although Trump's rally should start in 20: 00 in Tuesday, June 18, writes Fox News.
“There's going to be a lot of people and it's going to be pretty intense,” Gary Beck, who was first in line Monday morning, told local media. — The tension will be high. It's time for America to stand up and be better than ever before."

On the morning of June 17, the president tweeted that more than 100 000 ticket requests had arrived in his campaign, and the event would take place in the center arena that accommodates only 20 000 people.
"The big rally tomorrow night in Orlando, Florida looks to be setting records," Trump tweeted. Our country is doing great, far beyond what the haters and losers thought possible—and it will only get better!”
Later that afternoon, Trump campaign officials mentioned "early risers" gathering in Florida and preparing to meet with the president and candidate.
“I saw it firsthand. These amazing supporters are truly camping from Orlando, Florida to 40 degree Green Bay, Wisconsin,” campaign spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany tweeted. She was responding to one supporter who noted that she was already seeing a "surprising" number of people "lined" with tents.

This is Trump's first visit to Orlando since 2016, when he came to the city as part of his "Thank You Tour" after being elected president. He last visited the broader Orlando area last October to speak at the International Association of Chiefs of Police at the Orange County Convention Center.

Florida played a key role in the election, helping Trump win the 2016 year. Sunshine was one of the few bright spots on the map where Republicans were supported in the 2018 midterm elections of the year. The Republican Party again hopes for state support in 2020.
