A "charging bull" weighing 3,2 tons appeared in front of the New York Stock Exchange on December 15, 1989, says "Medusa". Its author, Italian-American Arturo Di Modica, cast the bull in bronze and installed it in Manhattan with his own money and on his own initiative. According to the artist, “Bull” personified the strength and power of the Americans who defeated the financial crisis of 1987.
