The reasons for the fire in the Russian restaurant 'Tatiana' in New York have become known

According to the Fire Department of New York (FDNY), a large-scale fire at the Russian restaurant “Tatyana” in New York was due to an abandoned cigarette.

According to FDNY, the fire started when someone under a boardwalk near the restaurant threw a lit cigarette on the mattress. The mattress caught fire and the fire spread from there to the boardwalk and Tatiana restaurant on 3152 Brighton 6th St, writes Brooklyn eagle.

More than 100 firefighters responded to a fire call that was brought under control to 22: 50. According to FDNY, one fireman was injured and was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

In 2003, a fire broke out in the restaurant “Tatyana”, then 20 people and five floors of apartments above the restaurant suffered. In 2007, another fire broke out in the restaurant Winter Garden, located next door.

According to FDNY, during the April 14 fire, no one was evacuated from the apartments above Tatyana.
