A herd of bison in Yellowstone scared tourists: they were looking for shelter in panic
A galloping herd of bison in Yellowstone makes tourists run for cover, reports usatoday
As a herd of bison raced through Yellowstone National Park, two tourists, taken by surprise, made a frantic dash across the bridge in search of safety, while another tourist captured the moment on video.
Kailin Olson and her family were driving to the bridge when they noticed a couple walking across it to their car. At the same time, they also noticed a dust cloud rising from the trees. Suddenly, a herd of buffalo swerved into the road, forcing the couple to rush for cover.

“They were probably nervous and hid near the bridge,” Olson told USA Today.
In the video, you can see the couple take cover at the end of the bridge as the bison veer off the road.
“The bison didn’t want anything to do with them, they just wanted to cross the bridge,” Olson said. “I wasn't scared. My daughter and I were in the car. The bison ran straight towards our car. They ran right next to us up the mountain. It was exciting and a unique experience."
Olson added, "The couple just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time."
