US sent troops to the Black Sea

"Fort McHenry" can carry 5 landing craft hovercraft or 21 type boats LCM 6 and is able to provide the transfer of more 400 marines. The ship participated in a training exercise off the coast of Norway in 2016, in 2015, it was sent to Yemen for possible evacuation of employees of the US Embassy and was used during the rescue operation after a major earthquake in Haiti in 2010.

Recall, November 26 Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted to impose martial law for a term of 30 days. The decision to introduce it was received in connection with the act of aggression of Russia against Ukraine in the Kerch Strait. As a result of the illegal actions of the Russian security forces 25 November were captured three ships of the Ukrainian Navy and 24 Ukrainian military personnel were captured. The Russians claim that Ukrainian Navy ships have invaded the “territorial waters of the Russian Federation.” The Ukrainians were taken into custody until January 25, 2019. The United States condemned the actions of the Russians in the Black Sea.
