US seizes for inspection Russian ventilation devices after fires in hospitals
Russia supplied the United States with mechanical ventilation apparatus (IVL) of the type that may have caused fires in clinics in Moscow and St. Petersburg. US authorities seize them for verification. Writes about it DW.
The reason for the return of the apparatus was the fires in hospitals in Moscow and St. Petersburg, according to the preliminary version, arising from the fire of this model of apparatus. In a fire in a St. Petersburg clinic, five people were killed.
Until the end of the investigation

A representative of New York State authorities said that the state received 30 devices from Russia, but they were not needed. In New Jersey received 15 ventilators, but also did not use them, writes with the BBC.
The FEMA said they knew about the fires, but recommended that they wait until the investigation was completed in Russia.
