Russian director's son detained in Israel: he spied for Iran
Two suspects of spying for Iran and Russia have been arrested in Israel, the publication reports Top Buzz Times citing the well-known Israeli military observer Yigal Levin.

One of those detained was Jeremy Loffredo, who, posing as a journalist, was trying to collect data on the damage caused to Israeli military facilities as a result of the Iranian missile attack.
Loffredo is associated with the American outlet The Grayzone, known for its pro-Kremlin views on Russia, China, Syria and Iran. The outlet often spreads disinformation, including false narratives about the war in Ukraine. It was founded by journalist Max Blumenthal, who previously worked for the Russian media network RT.
Along with Loffredo, Andrey Khrzhanovsky, a far-left activist, political blogger and son of Russian film director Ilya Khrzhanovsky, was arrested. Notably, Ilya Khrzhanovsky was the artistic director of the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center in Kyiv from 2020 to 2023.
According to media reports, Khrzhanovsky Jr. helped Loffredo gather intelligence on Israeli military bases to transmit to Tehran.
It is worth noting that the case of the arrest of Loffredo and Khrzhanovsky may be only the tip of the iceberg in the investigation into the activities of a large-scale network of Russian-Iranian agents who, under the guise of journalists and public activists, conduct intelligence work in Israel.
