Flights participating in the promotion are scheduled for the period from August 21 to December 19 for domestic flights, from September 5 to December 6 on flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico, writes Time. (The discount does not apply to flights that depart during popular holidays, such as Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day).

Prices vary—for example, a one-way flight from Montego Bay, Jamaica, to Chicago will cost you $274. But it's cheaper to travel around the United States: $45 each to/from Long Beach, California, and Las Vegas; $59 each for passengers from California traveling to other cities in the state. Those flying from Atlanta can purchase tickets to Nashville or Greenville, South Carolina. Travelers from Boston to Baltimore will pay $68.

International flights departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida—often the start of a trip to the Caribbean—range from $59 to Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, to $69 to Belize or $102 to Havana, Cuba.

True, Southwest has a number of restrictions on sales. Customers are not able to take advantage of reduced prices for flights departing on Fridays or Sundays, and other fees or taxes are not indicated in the information about the advertised low fares.
