Southwest Airlines made an emergency landing after engine failure
A Southwest Airlines plane crash-landed at Philadelphia International Airport due to engine failure, shortly after the plane left the LaGuardia airport in New York. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning.

The plane made a safe landing in a remote part of the airport, where firefighters and doctors were waiting for him.
Passengers managed to evacuate. Officials say one person was hospitalized. There is no information about the extent of his injury or about his condition.
"Airline board Southwest Airlines 1380 who left Laguardia, went to Philadelphia due to an extraordinary event. The plane landed safely,” the airline said in a statement.

Marty Martinez, passenger of the aircraft, posted a video from the aircraft.
“Something is wrong with our plane! Looks like we're coming down! Emergency landing!! Southwest Airlines, flight from New York to Dallas!” he wrote.
Martinez wrote on Facebookthat one of the windows crashed after the engine began to smoke.

“The flight attendants came running, asking passengers to help close the hole that had formed. It’s terrible, but we’re okay,” Martinez wrote.
