Difficult to distinguish from human: artificial intelligence has become a news anchor in Korea
South Korean TV channel MBN introduced viewers to the country's first-ever artificial intelligence news anchor. She looks very realistic. Edition Innovation.24tv told about an unusual presenter.
The prototype for creating the image of an artificial intelligence presenter was a real presenter - Kim Joo-ha.
During the November 6 broadcast, the AI even chatted with the real Kim Joo-ha so viewers could compare their looks and voices. Probably, many were confused.
“I was created by studying a 10-hour video of Kim Joo-ha—the details of her voice, the way she speaks, her facial expressions, her lip and body movements. I can break the news the way she does,” the AI presenter explained.

A digital journalist not only has exactly the same look and voice as a popular presenter. She also knows how to imitate the gestures inherent in Ju-ha during television broadcasts.
The audience's reaction was very mixed. Some admired the AI's resemblance to the real Kim Joo-ha, while others said they were embarrassed by the appearance of such a host.
Competition with human leaders
MBN hopes that AI journalists will come in handy, for example, for covering natural disasters or other emergencies if they happen at night, and the editorial office does not have presenters.
