Ambulance, angry grandmother, police: Banksy spoke about his adventures in Ukraine
World-famous street artist Banksy has revealed that he had close contact with the "evil grandma" when he painted his murals on bombed-out buildings in Ukraine. The edition told in more detail Huff Post.
Banksy has released a new limited edition print to raise money for a charity supporting civilians affected by the all-out Russian invasion of Ukraine that began in February.
The War Legacy Foundation provided an anonymous street artist with one of its ambulances for work after he painted several murals in and around the Ukrainian capital Kiev last month, he said in a statement posted on the charity's website.
The car "proved to be extremely useful when an angry grandmother found me painting on her house and called the police," the artist said. “Perhaps the least I should do is raise enough money to replace the license plates on the ambulance I used.”
