Purdue University scientists conducted a study in 2018 to better understand how happiness is associated with money. The study was conducted on a global scale, so the number varied around the world. Researchers also wanted to find out if happiness grows as income levels increase, and to determine the amount in which money no longer affects the level of emotional well-being and stability.
