How much did Americans spend on Halloween in 2019
According to the National Retail Federation (NRF), on average, each customer planned to spend about $ 86 on Halloween costumes, sweets for children, and decorations for the yard.
Halloween fans this year spent on average less cents on 50 than in the past - $ 86,27 and $ 86,79 respectively. Total spending is about $ 8,8 billion compared to $ 9 billion last year, writes Benzinga.
The total is expected to be the third largest in 15 years during which the NRF conducted the survey. The record was $ 9,1 billion spent in 2017 year.

Individual Halloween spending has risen by about 80%, not counting inflation, since 2005, when Americans said they plan to spend $ 48,48 each on Halloween. The study showed that Halloween planned to celebrate 172 million, and this is 68% of respondents.

- Costumes of witches and vampires were common among adults. The most popular pet costume is pumpkin.
