Harassment scandal cost Fox News 90 million dollars

Multimedia holding Twenty-First Century Fox will pay $ 90 million to settle claims of shareholders of the company caused by the scandal of sexual harassment on the TV channel Fox News.
Because of the conflict, the director Roger Ails had to resign, as well as the presenter Bill O'Reilly, wrote Daily Mail.
The arrangement, which has yet to be approved by the court, assumes that these funds will be paid by the owners and directors of the channel, including Rupert Murdoch and his two sons, who head Fox News, part of the amount will be covered by the proceeds from the sale of real estate owned by the late Ails.
Fox scandal began in July 2016, when the former Gretchen channel presenter Carlson filed a lawsuit against Ailsa, accusing him of sexual harassment. This claim was settled for 20 million dollars.
Later, information appeared about the new victims of the director’s harassment. Former employee of the channel Lori Loon Ails paid 3,15 a million dollars in 2011 so that she would not talk about sexual harassment on the channel on his part.
Ailsa was also accused of harassing the host Megin Kelly, whom he offered career support for sexual services. In addition, 43-year-old host channel Julie Roginski filed action to the Supreme Court of the State of New York, in which it is claimed that Ails repeatedly solicited her and made obscenities.
After the scandal unfolded, in July 2016, Ails was forced to resign as director of Fox News. A month after that 77-year-old Ails died.
