Weather forecasters promise harsh weather conditions in New York and the threat of flooding

If you were planning to travel this week, then get ready for possible delays due to a strong storm from Thursday evening to Saturday morning.

According to the Storm Team 4, Thursday morning will be without precipitation, but by the evening it will rain in the three states. By Thursday night, the rains and gusts of wind will increase as the storm hits the entire region. A warning of a possible flood will be active until Friday evening.

On Saturdays, 1-2 inches (2,5-5 cm) rain is expected everywhere, but in some places the indicators can reach 3 (7,5 cm) and more inches.

The good news is that there will be no hard frost. South Stream will push warmer air back into the region by the end of the week, raising the temperature to + 4 degrees Celsius on Thursday and + 15,5 degrees Celsius on Friday.

On Christmas Eve rain and snow showers are expected, but Christmas itself will be sunny with a temperature of + 4 degrees Celsius, according to Storm Team 4.

112,5 million travelers are expected this year will go in the way by air, car and train. This is 4,4 percent higher than last year, and most of all since AAA tracks travel on holidays, the organization said in a statement.
