Strong turbulence carried Delta aircraft. VIDEO

The flight of Delta Air Lines from Southern California to Seattle had to be interrupted, making an emergency landing in Nevada immediately after severe turbulence. The natural phenomenon in the sky created chaos, as a result of which three passengers were injured.

The 5763 flight departed from Orange County with 59 passengers and 4 crew members on board. According to passenger Joe Justy, in the middle of the flight, the turbulence was so strong that the flight attendant’s cart with drinks and snacks turned over and its contents flew through the cabin.

Passenger Dave Macias said: “We only saw how the trolley of drinks rose into the air. The flight attendant was thrown away like a rag doll. It was an eerie sight. ”

Justy posted a video of the chaos after the plane made an emergency landing in Reno, Nevada. The recording shows an overturned cart, the passengers' belongings - and all this is in terrible disarray.

According to the passenger, the plane twice “dived in the nose,” but he praised the crew for the fact that “it coped well with the situation, even during an emergency landing.”

It is known that five passengers were injured, three of whom are now being treated in hospital.

At the airport, Reno was informed that those who were not injured were treated to pizza and soda while they were waiting for the next flight to Seattle.

Delta later issued a statement apologizing for the incident and promised to safely deliver its passengers to their destination.

The National Meteorological Service in Reno had previously warned of severe winter storms before the end of the week and on weekends, “which will bring heavy rain, snow and wind to the area”.
