Storms and Tornadoes in the USA: 5 dead, canceled and delayed 12 000 flights. PHOTO, VIDEO
The ongoing storm hit the east coast of the United States and led to large-scale delays and postponement of flights on busy days between Pesach and Easter.
In all, 19 7 294 flights to or from the United States were delayed for April and 1 713 was canceled, according to FlightAware flight tracking website, writes USA Today. On the morning of April 20, the number of delayed flights on that day was 1, and 994 canceled. In just over a day, 718 flights were postponed and 9 were cancelled.

The National Weather Service posted the following recommendations on its website:
“Severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds and tornadoes will move across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast states this afternoon and evening. Heavy downpours and the risk of flash flooding are also present as tropical moisture flows northwards along the east coast. The biggest threat is between the South and North Carolinas toward New England."

Charlotte, Miami and Newark canceled the most flights: April 19 talked about 288 canceled flights at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, 164 at Miami International Airport and 181 at Newark Liberty International Airport.
Travelers are advised to monitor the status of their flights and take into account current circumstances.

Previously reported three dead. In total, a total of three people died in Mississippi, as well as one each in Alabama and Florida.

However, according to the publication, tornadoes are expected in some areas of Mississippi, South and North Carolyn and Virginia.
