A schoolgirl from Atlanta fell in love with the culture of Kazakhstan: she learned the Kazakh language and even changed her name
17-year-old schoolgirl Cameron Farr from Atlanta has been actively studying the Kazakh language and steppe culture for several years. The teenager became famous thanks to social networks. She demonstrates her linguistic skills, collecting admiring reviews from users, reports tengrinews.
For Kazakhstanis, Cameron is better known as Aibala Kudaibergenkyzy. Her videos get a lot of views. The girl has an excellent command of spoken and written Kazakh; moreover, she speaks 17 different languages.
“I speak German, Spanish, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, Indonesian, Portuguese, French, Thai, Vietnamese and Tagalog. I also know Yakut, Uyghur, Punjabi, Arabic and Urdu,” the girl shares.
However, the polyglot claims that she has a special connection with the Kazakh language and culture. In her house, no one had previously been interested in the culture of Central Asia; moreover, her parents and relatives had no idea about the language. However, at the age of 14, Aibala found a book about Kazakhstan, which impressed her and motivated her to study a previously unfamiliar language and culture.

“I learned everything online through YouTube videos. No one at home speaks or knows the Kazakh language. Our state doesn't even have courses to make learning easier. But it was not difficult for me to learn the language. I first learned about Kazakhstan through books and bloggers who visited the country. That’s how my story began,” she shares.
The teenager chose the name Aibala Kudaibergenkyzy for a reason. Her idol is singer Dimash
