Six states pay residents additional financial assistance: where and how much
There is high interest in the United States in a fourth round of quarantine payments, but despite demand, it doesn't look like the federal government will do so anytime soon. Writes about it NJ.
However, there are several states that are paying or have already provided additional payments to residents in the form of cash benefits.
In which states, residents can receive payments, who and how much.
California
In July, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a $ 100 billion aid package that will allow direct payments to millions of residents.
The package allocates $ 12 billion for payments. Most Californians will receive a check for $ 600 in September. Families with children are eligible for an additional $ 500.

Florida
According to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's office, about 200 people are eligible for a lump sum of $ 000.
Teachers and educators will also receive a one-time payment of $ 1000.
“These funds are intended to provide for teachers, including certified preschool teachers funded through the Florida Education Finance Program, as well as staff in various schools across the state,” reads the enacted budget signed by DeSantis.

In March, Georgia issued a $ 1000 bonus to approximately 230 teachers and school staff.
The money came from $ 660,6 million in federal assistance, the cost of the program was $ 230,5 million.
Michigan
At the end of February, the state of Michigan paid $500 in bonuses to teachers and $250 to staff, costing the state $73 million.
New Mexico
Thousands of low-income New Mexico residents are expected to receive a lump sum of $ 750, according to the state's Department of Human Services.
The department said the initiative is part of a $ 5 million state funded program that provides financial assistance to low-income New Mexico residents, primarily those on the lowest incomes.
