Six reasons why it is better to start a career in IT with the profession of a tester

Thinking about changing careers, many pay attention to the IT sphere. There you can get a decent salary, and a wide range of specialties allows you to start working after several months of training and develop further, mastering new knowledge and increasing professionalism.

If you are one of those people who dream of seeing their future in IT, then you should start with the profession of a software tester (QA - Quality Assurance). A tester is a person who looks for errors in programs and fixes them. Such specialists are divided into those who work manually and using automation. The first manually searches for bugs on websites and sends them to programmers to fix - this is QA Manual. The second one writes codes to identify errors in programs and websites and is often able to fix them on their own - this is QA Automation.

Can highlight six practical reasons why software testing (QA) is a good career option:

1. Testing is in demand

In the digital age, almost every business creates software, apps and websites, be it education, banking, or healthcare. Competition and demand for the development of such products are growing, and this, in turn, increases the demand for testers.

2. Testers are well paid

Many believe the myth that testers are paid less than developers. But this is not the case. The scale of payment at the initial stage is the same, and further income depends on how quickly and well you can prove yourself.

3. Entering IT through software testing is relatively easy

You can become a tester with any background. Regardless of whether you have trained as a teacher, doctor, or engineer in the past, the path to QA is open to you after successfully completing the relevant course, which lasts only a few months.

For example, at school Programming Academy in Silicon Valley (PASV) the duration of the QA Automation course is 5 months (300 hours) if you study from scratch. Classes are held every weekday. All training takes place online with a live teacher and the opportunity to ask questions.
