A family from California scattered money on the road to commemorate a deceased relative

On March 4, highway drivers in the San Francisco Bay Area (California) found themselves in a rain of dollars as a family chose a unique way to honor their deceased relative by scattering $500 in $20 bills along the highway.

Several people contacted the California Highway Patrol when they saw the money scattered on the 880 motorway in Hayward, writes Fox News.

However, many cars stopped, and their drivers and passengers ran out to pick up the money.

The members of the family who arranged the scattering of money were asked not to give their names. They said that they threw out about 500 dollars in 20 dollar bills from their car when they were returning from a funeral.

According to a family member, it was their way to honor the memory of a deceased person.

Police officers who arrived to the call about the scattered money, said that at the time of their arrival at the place of money on the road was not there.
