A family of immigrants from Ukraine fell into a terrible accident in North Carolina: the father of five children died

27 May 35-year-old immigrant from Ukraine Pavel Buts and his family were returning home from a family trip when another driver unexpectedly cut them, causing the family car to lose control and turn over several times. The accident occurred in Union County in North Carolina.

Pavel's wife Elena and their five children were taken to hospital with multiple injuries, but Pavel himself did not survive, according to the fundraising page for victims on the portal GoFundMe.

Pavel Elena's wife (33 years) and their five children suffered in a car accident: Andrey (13 years), Max (11 years), Cyril (9 years), Anna (8 years) and Katie (6 years).

“Pavel was the only breadwinner in the family and tried very hard to take care of everyone. The family moved to the East Coast less than a year ago, leaving most of their relatives on the West Coast. Words cannot describe the pain and loss the family is experiencing - we ask for your prayers for them,” the fundraising page reads.

As of May 30, Elena and Cyril are still in hospital. The woman had surgery on her leg, which was crushed during the accident. When the car stopped rolling over, according to Elena, her legs stuck out of the window and the rest of her body was stuck in the car, so the fact that she survived is just a miracle.

Cyril also fights for his health: his spine and collarbone are broken in several places, and he will have to go through a difficult period of recovery. At first, the doctors planned to have an operation for him, but now they have come to the conclusion that everything is not so serious and there is no need for an operation.

Max did not speak after the accident, but now he began to speak a little bit again. Anna is still in shock and says little.
