SBU suspects biker “Surgeon” of supporting terrorism

The Ukrainian Security Service suspected Russian biker Alexander Zaldostanov, also known as “The Surgeon,” of financing the self-proclaimed republics of Donbass.

In a press release from the Security Service of Ukraine, a case on financing terrorism was instituted against Zaldostanov. He himself has not yet commented on this information.

The SBU claims that Zaldostanov, as the leader of the Night Wolves bike club, embezzled funds that citizens of Ukraine, Russia and other countries invested in the Forex Trend and Forex Trend companies for investment in international financial markets.

According to the SBU, the funds received were transferred to the accounts of the members of the bike club, after which part of the money was sent to support armed supporters of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics.

The biker is part of the leadership of the Russian Anti-Maidan movement. In addition, it was reported that some members of the bike club went to fight on the side of the DPR and LPR as volunteers.

Previously, the leader of the Russian Night Wolves biker club, Alexander Zaldostanov confirmed that for the year he received from the Russian government 56 million rubles.
