The Russian national team lost to the Canadian team in the finals of the World Hockey Championship

The final match of the World Hockey Championship in Prague (Czech Republic), in which the Canadian team defeated the Russian team with the 6: 1 score.

The match passed with a clear advantage to the North American national team, which already during the 1 minute of the game put an 3 shot on goal by Russian goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky.

The scoring was opened at the end of the 1st period, in the 19th minute, when Cody Eakin successfully placed his stick under a teammate's shot, disorienting the Russian goalkeeper. In the second period, Tyler Ennis, Sidney Crosby and Tyler Seguin brought the score to 4:0 with accurate shots, and in the third period, Claude Giroux and Nathan Mackinnon brought their team's advantage to 6:0. And only in the 53rd minute, Evgeni Malkin scored a prestige goal for the Russians - 6:1.

Thus, the Canadian team won all 10 matches at this tournament, all 10 in regular time.
