San Diego will turn into a wonderland for a month: a cult fair will soon begin in California

Adventure is coming! The San Diego (California) County Fair is coming soon. This year's theme includes outdoor recreation and encourages everyone to "get out there". What awaits you at the fair, the publication found out Fox5 san diego.

Opening day is June 7th, and for the next 22 days, through July 4th, the Del Mar Fairgrounds will transform into a wonderland full of fun and adventure with deliciously weird food, unique drinks and, of course, music.

There will be seven stages in total at the fair. On the main stage there will be a series of concerts where Nelly, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Carly Pierce, Boyz 2 Men, Elle King with Randy Houser and many others will perform.

This year, the exhibit is partnering with San Diego County Parks and Preserves and California State Parks to display exotic animals, snakes, tarantulas, livestock, new horses and large birds.

And of course, this is where all the delicious, crazy and incredible food you can try.

“We take half a coconut, fill it with rice, add shrimp, mango pieces and sweet chili sauce,” Chicken Charlie said. - New this year - deep-fried marshmallows on a stick. "We're bringing back a lot of hits from last year: fried Oreos, fried Twinkies, frog legs, bacon-wrapped pickles, pineapple."

The fair is now cashless, so visitors are encouraged to buy tickets online in advance. Some merchants still accept cash. Ticket prices vary, but general admission on weekends is $20 for adults and $17 for children. The fair is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for 22 days, except for the last two on July 3rd and 4th.
