The most active serial killer in US history: FBI revealed details of crimes

The FBI said Samuel Little, who has confessed to more than 90 killings over 35 years, is the most productive serial killer in US history. The FBI Violent Crime Investigation Program (ViCAP) began linking undisclosed cases with Little about five years ago. DNA samples linked him to three unsolved murders dating back to the 1980 years. In 2014, he was sentenced to three terms without parole.

Knox County (Tennessee) authorities said a woman named Martha Cunningham was likely to be a victim of Little. A criminal investigator at the Knox County Sheriff’s office identified the victim, who Little called Marta. The body was found in 1975 in a wooded area in the eastern part of Knox County.

The body of Cunningham was discovered by hunters in the afternoon of January 18 of 1975. She was bruised and topless from the waist down; her pantyhose and belt wrapped around her knees. The victim’s wallet and some jewelry were missing. According to authorities, her body seemed to be pulled into the forest and thrown.
