The most rapidly growing and growing position in the United States in the period from 2012 to 2016 was the position of solar panel installer. On average, such specialists receive $ 42 500 per year. Posts related to electronic computers (STEM) were in second place in terms of growth, and this industry developed most rapidly in Michigan. Between 2012 and 2016, the number of computer and information technology researchers increased by 200%.

Successful industries affect the labor migration of people. For example, 70,9% of community college graduates leave Delaware in search of work in other states. That's because the fastest-growing job in Delaware is phlebotomist, a job that doesn't require a college degree and involves collecting blood from donors and patients.

The state that retained most of the local college graduates was Texas, only 20% of graduates left for other states to look for work.

Other industries that have shown rapid growth include personal care, which, despite relatively low wages, is on the rise. For example, in Utah, the growth of this sector in 2012-2016 amounted to 313%.
