The Russian TU-154 plane disappeared from radar screens a few hours after taking off from Sochi, Interfax reports. The plane belongs to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“In addition to military personnel, there are artists and journalists. According to preliminary data, the plane that disappeared from radar could have fallen into the sea near Sochi,” emphasized an Interfax source in the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“All search and rescue services of the aviation units of the Southern Military District in the Krasnodar Territory and neighboring regions have been involved in the search for the aircraft,” the message says.
