US Army website disabled after cyber attack
The US Army has temporarily disabled its official website after a burglary incident.
In social networks, meanwhile, a snapshot of the hacked site appeared ( army.mil), on which is visible an inscription that can be translated as “your commanders admit that they are training people to send them to die in battle.”
The Syrian Electronic Army, which supports President Bashar al-Assad, announced on Twitter that it was taking responsibility for the hack.
A Pentagon spokesman, Brigadier General Malcolm Frost, said the army was taking all the necessary measures to prevent information leaks.
Previously, the US FBI proceeded to investigate the incidentand in violation of the cyber security of one of the federal agencies.
It is noted that the hacking has affected the data at least 4 million former and current officials of the US federal agencies.
