Russian paid over $ 9000 alimony with bitcoins
Bailiffs in the Kirov region found bank accounts where the alimony debtor kept their savings and wrote off 600 thousand rubles (9257 dollars) of debt in favor of his children.
The Kirov resident, who owed 600 thousand rubles of alimony to two of his children, settled for cryptocurrency, the UFSSP for the Kirov region reported, writes Newsler.ru.
The ministry noted that requests to credit institutions and registering authorities allowed court bailiffs to establish bank accounts on which the debtor kept their savings earned during operations with cryptocurrency.
In total, the Kirovsk account had 800 thousand rubles (12 342 dollars) of “virtual money”, of which 600 thousand rubles (9257 dollars) went to pay off the alimony debt. Another 37 thousand rubles (570 dollars) were written off as a performing fee. The remaining amount in the account was returned to the man.
Also, a Kirov citizen received a warning from bailiffs that administrative and criminal responsibility awaits him for evading payment of alimony.
In addition, the debtor father was sent to the Employment Center to get a formal job. Every month a man will have to inform the bailiff of both a change of job and an independent transfer of alimony to his children.
