Why Russia is a third world country: the opinion of an American after several visits to the Russian Federation
Why does an American consider Russia a third world country, the author said blog "Girl of the World" on Yandex.Zen.
Next - from the first person.
For two years now I have been living in China and studying at the university. It was there that I met my foreign friends, who are becoming more and more every day.
One of these foreigners was Richard. In a conversation, he told me that in his youth he lived in Russia. And now she loves just traveling. He was in eighteen Russian cities, including Lake Baikal and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
He loves Russia very much. But along with other countries, he considers it one of the most backward in the world. In his opinion, then and now, nothing has changed.
Richard still does not understand why in Russia such expensive tickets and natural places are not developed for tourists. Because a helicopter flight over Sakhalin will cost 500 rubles ($ 000).
He did not even want to talk about the transport system. He did not see such terrible and collapsing buses in any country in the world.
On the subject: Personal experience: what do Americans most often ask visitors from Russia
There are absolutely no amenities in Russia. In the subway it is easy to fall off under the train, the police are all angry and unfriendly. Once he turned to them for help, but they didn’t even want to listen to him.
There is no unified payment system for purchases, as, for example, WeChat in China. It is very difficult for one foreigner to order first from one place, pick up from another, and call from the third. Therefore, in Russia you need to do a million and one action, only after which you will achieve what you need. What can I say ... Everyone knows how many nerves we have public services.
Richard, each time returning to Russia, is waiting for some changes. But in no city, except Moscow, nothing changes.
When I asked, along with which development country, in his opinion, Russia is located, I expected, of course, to hear China, Korea or Japan. But I heard Indonesia answer. It's a shame what can I say.
