Moscow and Atlantic City are recognized as the most unfriendly cities

American Travel + Leisure Traveler Travel Magazine List the most unfriendly cities in the world. The rating was based on the reviews of almost two hundred thousand readers of the magazine: they were asked to sort 266 cities according to various parameters - from their high cost to the friendliness of local residents.

In the top 30 most unfriendly cities first place took capital of Russia. T + L readers noted that Muscovites do not really help tourists. The poor road conditions, the general “detachment” of local residents and the poor state of the public catering made their contribution - the latter was at the bottom of the readers' rating.

In second place in the ranking of unfriendly was the city of Atlantic City (New Jersey), famous for its casinos. Readers do not like the locals (they were considered rude) or the appearance of the city (“some people think that it would be better for the city to never recover from the devastating blow of Hurricane Sandy in 2012”).

The third line of the top 30 unfriendly cities took St. Petersburg. T + L notes that tourists are in awe of the beautiful architecture of the northern capital, but are disappointed by the clash with the locals.

The 15 ranked the most inhospitable cities were French Marseilles and Cannes, the capital of China, Beijing, German Frankfurt, and many American cities, including New York, Washington and Los Angeles. Another St. Petersburg - this time from Florida, USA - turned out to be on the 30 line.

In the list of the most friendly cities in the world leads the Irish Galway. Behind him are Charlestown (South Carolina) and the capital of Ireland, Dublin. There are no Russian cities in this top.
