Russian ambassador takes American actor Cal Penn for terrorist
The Russian ambassador to the UK, Alexander Yakovenko, wrote in his Twitter that US threatens to stop helping Iraq in the fight against the IG, if Baghdad turn for help to Russia.
“The terrorists must be jubilant,” the ambassador added, adorning his remarks with a picture that was obviously meant to depict a jubilant terrorist.
However, the picture turned out to be a still from the 2008 film “Harold & Kumar 2: Escape from Guantanamo.” In the frame is the famous American actor of Indian origin Kal Penn, with a beard and a turban on his head.

Penn, best known to viewers for such TV series as How I Met Your Mother and House, as well as a series of films about friends Harold and Kumar, who always get into funny stories, was quick to respond to Yakovenko’s message, posting in his Twitter photograph of actor Dolph Lundgren as Soviet boxer Ivan Drago in the film Rocky.

Explaining his mistake, the Russian ambassador made a compliment to the actor, saying that he played his part perfectly.
