Russian hackers from the Fancy Bear group, which is believed to be responsible for stealing emails from US Democratic Party leaders before the 2016 elections, have also been intimidating families of US military personnel in the name of the "cyber caliphate" - supposedly hackers associated with the terrorist group.

5 wives of US military personnel became victims of intimidation, writes “Voice of America«.

For example, one of the women in February 2015 received through Facebook The message reads: “Happy Bloody Valentine's Day. We know about you, your husband and children. We're closer than you think."

The news agency, which made the investigation public, concluded that the threats came from the Fancy Bearwhich in the USA was previously associated with the military intelligence of Russia.

None of the victims suspected that they actually received threats from Russia.
