A Croatian court has ruled that Medvedchuk's 92,5-meter yacht Royal Romance should be handed over to the Ukrainian Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), the Ukrainian government said. The agency assured that "they will preserve the economic value by selling it at auction."

ARMA, a special unit of the Ukrainian government tasked with “search, tracking and management of assets obtained as a result of corruption,” said its agents flew to Croatia and “inspected an arrested yacht belonging to a people’s deputy and one of the leaders of a political force banned in Ukraine ".

“The Ukrainian Agency for Asset Recovery and Management searched for the said asset within the framework of criminal proceedings and, after seizing it, received elite property to preserve economic value with the aim of selling it at auction,” the statement said.

Croatian police raided the yacht last month on behalf of the FBI, according to a listing in the local newspaper Jutarnji. On November 15, a court in Split was reported to have granted the US Department of Justice's request for a search and confirmed that it had been carried out on November 19. Judge Dinko Meshin said the search warrant implicated Medvedchuk and his wife Oksana Marchenko in connection with alleged money laundering.

Royal Romance, built by Dutch contractor Feadship in 2005, has cabins for 14 guests and space for 21 crew members, as well as a 4m-wide pool with "a flowing waterfall cascading over the stern".
