Parents "presented" their six daughters to an 51-year-old pedophile

As the Bax County District Attorney stated, parents from Pennsylvania were sentenced to three years in prison for “giving” their six daughters to an 51-year-old man. Reports about it CNN.

Former members of the Amish community, 43-year-old Savilla Stoltzfus and 44-year-old Daniel Stoltzfus allowed their six daughters, aged 9 to 19, to cohabit with 51-year-old Lee Kaplan. In exchange, Kaplan promised financial support. In total, the Stoltzfus family has nine daughters.

In June 2017, Lee Kaplan was convicted on 17 charges, including pedophilia, rape, and sexual harassment. In the materials of the judicial investigation there is evidence that the daughters of Stoltzfus considered themselves Kaplan's wives.

In April, Stoltfussi were asked to join cases, although this jeopardized the well-being of children. Savilla made a deal with the investigation, but Daniel did not admit his guilt. Lawyers argue that the couple received the maximum allowable time limit by law.

The lawyer who defended Savilla, William Craig Panglas, was surprised that the confession and the deal with the investigation did not soften the judges. In addition, both Panglas and the district attorney’s office tried to convince their daughters to testify in court against Lee Kaplan.

But lawyer Daniel Stoltzfusa claims that his client was going to admit his guilt, but at the last moment he changed his mind.

“He really wanted to take charge. And he understood the gravity of the charges and how the court would consider them. It’s very difficult to understand what happened there and why he changed his mind,” says the lawyer.

In their testimony in April, the couple acknowledged that Lee Kaplan not only lived together with the daughters of Stoltzfus, but also with Savilla Stoltzfus. Daniel claimed that he "presented" Kaplan his wife in the hope of strengthening the clan. There is also information that Kaplan had sex with his eldest daughter.

The Kaplan-Stoltzfus trial took place almost a year after the police arrested Lee Kaplan and accused him of living with twelve women, including minors, in his home in Listherville.

It is also known that one of the daughters of Stoltzfus gave birth to Kaplan two children before reaching the 18 age. The presumed conception of the first child was in a girl at the age of 14.

A neighbor of the scandalous couple Jen Betz told CNN that she had appealed several times about the Kaplan couple to the law enforcement authorities.

“Something inside told me that something wrong was happening here. I felt it. How could an elderly man have so many daughters, all in blue dresses? Why don’t they ever leave the house together, why don’t they put on makeup?,” she said.

According to Burton, the daughters of the Stoltzfus family are in the care of the Bax County Social Agency for Child and Youth Policy.

Bucks County Judge Jeffrey L. Finley said that Daniel and Savilla Stoltzfus were unthinkable and he would have awarded them more if it were possible by law.
