Billionaire and founder of the Virgin Group Richard Branson almost died while opening the center of his company, Virgin Miami Central. Branson stated that it was the 77 moment in his life when he was close to death.

During the solemn ceremony, the steel beam with an advertising banner collapsed on the billionaire, flying a few centimeters from his head, writes Inc.Russia.

Fortunately, no one was hurt during the incident. The video, which shows the fall of the banner, the entrepreneur posted on his twitter.

The billionaire stated on his company's website that it was the 77 moment in his life when he was close to death. 76 moment he experienced, according to him, during the hurricane Irma, which hit the US east coast in September 2017.

The life of a billionaire is full of adventure. For example, April 8 Branson had to stand for more than an hour with a hose in his hands, trying to put out a newly built, but not yet populated house in the Virgin Islands, writes Inc.Russia.

Branson said that his son-in-law, Freddie, noticed smoke coming from a nearby island while they were both riding bicycles on Virgin Gorda. Then Branson and Freddie jumped into the boat and sailed straight to the scene of the fire.

“We rushed off and saw the flames next to a completely new house, into which no one had yet settled. We headed for the fire, fearing that something would explode. When we got closer, we saw that the wooden floors prepared for the installation were burning and the flames were licking the wall of the house, but fortunately the house itself did not burn, ”Branson wrote on the Virgin website

After 20 minutes, an engineer arrived on the island, working with Branson at the Virgin Group, and helping to connect a hose to cope with the fire. An hour later, a whole team arrived with fire extinguishers under the guidance of the manager Necker Keny.

“Some of our wonderful team didn’t sleep all night to make sure the house didn’t catch fire again,” Branson admired.

A businessman, philanthropist and one of the richest people in the land, Richard Branson founded the Virgin Group Corporation, which includes about 400 companies of various profiles.
