Michael went to the store to buy the necessary ingredients for a Christmas dinner. Deciding to try his luck, he bought a lottery ticket there.
“My family came to dinner for me,” he told representatives of the lottery. “I wanted to make sure I took everything on time to make dinner ready.”
Returning home from the Food Lion store, he removed the scratch code, but was not happy. Seeing the winning amount, Michael decided that this was some kind of mistake and he accidentally scraped something extra.
“At first I didn’t think I won,” said Rosenbrock. “It's good that I always enter my tickets in the second chance draws, otherwise I would throw them away.”
The man said that he “could not believe it” when he found out that a ticket for 5 dollars turned into 250 thousand dollars.
According to representatives of the lottery, Rosenbrock will receive $ 176 after deducting the necessary state and federal taxes.
