The most expensive US state in terms of monthly expenses was Hawaii.

Hawaiians spend $3070 per month, 50% more than the national average of $2046.

The doxo report states that the average monthly mortgage bill in Hawaii is $2247 and the average rent is $1856.

According to a doxo report, the average bill value in California is $2838 per month, 38,7% above the national average. The highest monthly bill for California residents is the mortgage, which averages $2402, while those who rent average $1762 per month.

The city that is considered the most expensive in California is San Ramon, located 34 miles east of San Francisco. The average monthly account value for San Ramon is $4390.
