The flight from Florida to London lasted for three days: 'It was hell'

The passenger of British Airways, who could not return from Orlando to London for three days, told The Post that the airline didn’t apologize for the delay after returning to the UK.

More than 200 passengers for several days were stuck at the airport. Their carrier, the airline British Airways, constantly transferred the time of departure. On board, with a seating capacity of 250, there were mostly British tourists who were returning from a Florida vacation home.

The flight landed in London on Sunday after it was supposed to fly from Orlando on Thursday.

On Thursday evening, their flight to British Gatwick Airport was supposed to leave Orlando, but the flight was postponed for the whole day due to mechanical problems in the plane. The plane still flew on Friday night, but was forced to make an emergency landing at JFK in New York, shortly after takeoff.

“It was hell. I've only had six hours of sleep since Thursday morning,” said 43-year-old Richie Coborn. “We had a fantastic vacation (in Florida). British Airways communication is terrible. British Airways is shocking. I will never fly it again."

“No proper apology,” added Corbon, who works as a lorry driver in Wales.

A spokesman for British Airways called the problem a “secondary technical issue” on Saturday and apologized to customers for the delay.
